Kitty

Right before Christmas I did a little "photoshoot" with my stray cat. I should video her "talking" to me because it gets pretty funny sometimes! She wasn't too happy with the camera in her face that day!

The stray

My stray kitty posed for me the other night.

Most of the time I feed her when I get home from work. Some days, I will out front after dinner to see if she is still hanging around. I talk to her (I'm sure the neighbors think I'm a loon), pet her, and just interact with her. She'll hang around if Josh comes out, but she really won't let him get too close.

Every few days, I give her a little dish of milk. Yes, I take after my grandmother, but she (I think she's a she) loves it!

she tries to be aloof and not care, but it never works.

she does a lot of cleaning...

and stretching out...
she looks at me like I am crazy...

she lounges some more...

then she moves over to the planter wall and relaxes...

and looks at me like, 'Really? What do you want?'

so, I scratch her chin...(This is her favorite)

and get a shot of her white paws...
I wish the picture wasn't so dark, but I love her white spot on her nose.

The neighbor's cat

Meet Berkeley. She belongs to our next door neighbors (who deserve a post all their own). I believe they rescued her from a shelter near Austin, and she's a little over year old.

One weekend back in May, Josh and I were out in the yard trimming trees because brush pick-up was the next week. Well, Berkeley decided to join us for a while and "help."

This is her idea of helping.
Playing with the branches and posing for my pictures.

Somedays I wish I had the life of a cat. Must be nice!

My cat

When we moved into our house, we didn't realize at the time that a cat was part of the deal too. Since then, she has become my kitty. We have conversations in the front yard. I'm sure my neighbors think I am crazy, but she is so sweet! I am the only one that she lets pet her. She runs when she sees anyone else.

She really is this pathetic!
